Our show cannot run without intern help. Interns help distribute the show scripts and rundowns, time the show, give time cues to the host, help bring guests up to the green room, reformat transcripts and do other duties related to the show. This helps interns learn producing skills.
-Interns also have the opportunity to go out on shoots with producers, create and edit “interstitials,” which are one-minute long bumpers that we use to get guests in and out of the show. This could include research, conceptualizing an end product, going on shoots and editing the final product. This helps interns learn reporting skills.
-On occasion, interns also do packages, which would include research, going out on a shoot, doing interviews, writing a script and editing the package.
HORIZON/HORIZONTE INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: Interns work as program coordinators for Eight’s public affairs programs Horizon and Horizonte. DUTIES: Interns are responsible for various pre-production tasks including creating a font rundown, timing, copying, and distributing scripts to the host and production crew. During production, interns communicate the amount of time remaining in interviews to the host and production crew. They also are responsible for providing an accurate countdown to the end of the show. Other responsibilities include: proofing and preparing written program transcripts for online publication, maintaining files, and assisting producers with other tasks, as needed.
HOURS: Interns are assigned to coordinate one show on a specific day each week. For scheduling purposes, we need interns with flexibility (available two or more evenings a week) in their schedules. Horizon is typically recorded Monday-Friday at 5:30pm, so we are looking for program coordinators who are available weekdays from 2:30pm-6:30pm. Horizonte usually tapes on Wednesdays at 6:45pm, so we need a coordinator who is available Wednesdays between 3:30pm and 7:30pm. In addition to their weekly production coordinator shifts, interns will work the balance of hours required for their internships in the Horizon/Horizonte office during regular business hours. PAY: This is an unpaid internship.

McFarlane Toys is seeking an energetic, creative part-time summer intern who has an interest in working in a dynamic and fast-paced marketing department for a premier action figure company located in Tempe, AZ.
Assisting with adding website content onto McFarlane.com (CMS) which includes but is not limited to: products, news stories and blog posts.
Assist with editing, close cutting and formatting images for website, sales and marketing materials.
