Intern Overview
Marketing & Communications internship responsibilities may include:

Desired Candidate Qualifications
Undergraduate juniors and seniors with some previous work or internship experience preferred, but any interested applicants will be considered. Candidates studying any major are encouraged to apply, however, individuals concentrating in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations or related fields are most successful. Internship Details
Hourly wage begins at $11.75 per hour and increases after 6 months. We prefer internships last at least 6 months (two semesters). We are flexible in accommodating students’ schedules and attempt to schedule interns such that we always have an intern in the office.

Cronkite-Zocalo Fellowship in Santa Monica- Paid
The Cronkite School is accepting applications for student fellowships in sustainability journalism with Zócalo Public Square at ASU’s new Santa Monica., Calif., bureau.

The fellowships will be offered in the summer, fall and spring semesters with students working out of the new Cronkite School bureau in Santa Monica. Fellows will work up to 40 hours a week for $10 an hour, producing content for the Zócalo website and its media partners, and assisting with Zocalo’s public events. Students also may apply to receive Cronkite internship credit for the fellowship. Students will be responsible for arranging their own housing. The Cronkite School will cover the cost of travel to and from Santa Monica.

Zócalo Public Square, a project of the Center for Social Cohesion at Arizona State University, is a not-for-profit Ideas Exchange that seeks to engage a new, young and diverse generation in the public square through a blend of live events and humanities journalism. It partners with educational, cultural and philanthropic institutions to present free, non-partisan public events and conferences in cities across the U.S. and beyond and to publish original daily journalism that is distributed to more than 100 media outlets nationwide.

Fellows may be graduate or undergraduate Cronkite students with an interest in sustainability, energy, the environment and related fields. Duties include generating story ideas, identifying and working with Zocalo contributors (who include journalists, scholars and non-writers), writing and editing articles for the website, working with media syndicate partners, building audiences for journalism and events through social and other media, and assisting with the planning and execution of public discussions and lectures on current affairs topics. Fellows will work with a small staff of writers and editors who produce new content daily for the website and its media partners and who solicit contributions from diverse people whose voices would otherwise go unheard. Strong editing skills are a must as are curiosity and energy. The successful applicant will be able to generate story ideas off the news that provide a different perspective on current topics and write and edit for voice. Some evening work is required. Fellows may have the opportunity to travel to Zócalo events in California and around the country. A car is not required but is suggested.

The Womenetics Advancing Aspirations Global Scholarship (AAGS) is a $15,000 essay competition that engages young people in pressing women’s issues and connects students with thought leaders in impactful roles. Race For The Cure Emcee- volunteer
Need two students to serve as emcees for our Start Line Stage and our Community Village Stage.The date of the race is: Sunday, October 11, 2015 and they will both be required to be there at 6am and departure time will be between 12-1.

Start Line:
·There won’t be any pre-work necessary except an audition if there is a lot of interest.
·They will be provided a script to follow (and make their own) ahead of time.
·They’ll also coordinate (and briefly appear on) with ABC News for their live shots and sometimes 104.7 with JohnJay & RIch
·I just need someone who can read and speak clearly and a decent volume at the same time

Job Description
Sun Devil Athletics at Arizona State University is a Division 1 program and member of the Pac-12 Conference. We host and facilitate events for 23 collegiate sports programs as well as a variety of other events. The Student Video Assistant assists with videotaping team practices and competitions, editing and duplication production. Federal Work-Study participants welcome to apply; continued employment is not contingent on your award balance.

Essential Duties
Assist with packing and loading equipment.
Set-up and operate video equipment on game day at shooting locations.
Label clips after games for post-production.
Assist with videotaping specific tasks as directed by supervisor.
Archive games for Library.
Exercise independent judgment in editing & filming of events/practice.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and no more than an average of 25 hours per week.
Must be able to comply with NCAA and PAC-12 rules and regulations as well as departmental policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires previous knowledge or skill and/or equivalent experience or training.
