Meet the leaders of student organizations including student chapters of professional organizations and clubs like sports journalism, photojournalism and fashion journalism. Plus, learn about internship opportunities, talk with advisers and get to know other students new to the Cronkite School.
Fall 2014- Make A Wish Marketing/Public Relations Intern
This position supports the public relations, marketing and promotional activities at Make-A-Wish Arizona. Work commensurate with entry-level public relations and marketing position. Strong writing and grammar skills are essential. Media and social media experience valued.
-Writing news releases and media alerts, collecting wish stories from Arizona wish kids and families.
-Maintain communication with all company departments to identify story ideas and opportunities.
-Supporting media events, such wish reveals, Walk for Wishes, radio and newspaper interviews

City of Phoenix Public Information Office
The City of Phoenix is offering an unpaid internship with the public information officer for the Phoenix City Council. Public relations interns will be actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a university public relations, marketing, or other related program. The individual must demonstrate the ability to undertake basic public relations writing assignments, adapt to a fast-paced work environment, possess an understanding of basic media relations skills, interact professionally with clients, and exercise good judgment. A working knowledge of computers, as well as word processing and database management software is necessary. Interns will be mentored by the entire Allison+Partners team including senior executives. We are seeking a paid intern to work with us on a wide variety of client projects. These include, but are not limited to:
•Draft basic public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, client meeting summaries, status reports and other materials as directed.

St. Luke’s Health Initiatives (SLHI) Communications
St. Luke’s Health Initiatives www.slhi.org a public foundation focused on improving the health of Arizonans, is looking for a talented individual with experience in communications, marketing and/or event planning to serve as an intern. •Work with state and federal partners of the Cover Arizona Coalition to organize and promote special events aimed at fostering enrollment in the federal health insurance Marketplace and Medicaid.

Intern must be available to work remotely approximately 15 hours per week, after in-person training. Main duties will involve the scheduling, tracking and coordination of media interviews for a national Santa Photo Experience company.

My name is Ashley Yost and I’m the Communications Team Manager for ASU’s Team in the US Dept. of Energy’s EcoCAR3 competition. This 4 year competition is challenging 16 university teams with modifying a Chevy Camaro to reduce its environmental impact and still be innovative, affordable and attractive to consumers.
