Arizona Farm Bureau Communications Internship
Communication Intern-Communication Division (Part Time)
This position reports to: Director of Communication, Education & Marketing
Position regularly works with: Director of Communication, Education & Marketing
Hours: Minimum 15 hrs/no more than 20
PAID: ($10/hr; must register for course credit), Jr/Sr only

General Description:
Under general direction, supports Arizona Farm Bureau’s overall content channels and specifically web site content and other media channels including social media; helps with a variety of computer, Web and/or multimedia, some graphics, motion graphics, audio and video production; helps design print materials and/or content materials to promote and support Arizona Farm Bureau programs and events; performs related duties as required.

Competencies required:
Requires experience and proficiency using social media marketing tools, excellent communication, writing, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Coursework in multimedia, some graphic design, communications and web content development is desirable. Creativity and flexibility and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential. Prior experience in a marketing/communication role desired but not required. Knowledge of and/or interest in Arizona agriculture a plus; represent small & large agriculture plus organic and conventional methods.

Skill and Ability to:
Operate a variety of computer platforms and operating systems including Mac OS and Windows; operate peripheral equipment including printers, CD and DVD burners and duplicators, scanners, digital and 35 mm cameras, digital video cameras, audio recording equipment, and digital projectors. Support effort to creatively translate abstract concepts into effective visual form in a variety of media; adapt graphics to fit needs of clients and target audience; utilize production tools to design, edit, and produce video, audio, and graphic materials; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; compose and edit written materials. Note: Must have own transportation

Phoenix Coyotes Game Operations Intern
Department: Game Operations
Reporting: Field Producer & Director of Game Presentation
Status: $40 / Game

Job Summary
The intern will be involved in the development and execution of the Phoenix Coyotes in-game and game day experiences. The intern will be assisting the Field Producer and Director of Game Presentation by coordinating and distributing all game day scripts, supporting live game production from the booth, acting as support for the entertainment team, mascot and in-arena host, carrying out all pre-game activities such as national anthem, puck drop or ceremonies, and supporting the production of the game as a whole.

Tasks and Responsibilities: Prepare all paperwork in the office and deliver it to its appropriate recipients by a specific deadline prior to the game Attend both pre-game meetings with Paw Patrol and production crew Assist the Paw Patrol and the Mascot in their game day duties Assist in the live, in-game production elements such as: pre-game ceremony, puck drop, national anthem, giveaways, in-arena host hits, on-ice games, etc. Act as supplementary support for the Field Producer Coordinate with marketing, corporate sales and sponsorship, and ticketing departments Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed by the Field Producer

The application deadline is fast approaching for RTDNF’s 2013 scholarships and fellowships. The Foundation offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for students and working professionals pursuing careers in electronic journalism. Scholarship candidates must be a full-time college student whose career objective is electronic journalism and have at least one full year of college remaining. To receive an award, winners must be officially enrolled in college and be in good standing. Fellowship candidates may apply for only one fellowship at a time and must have fewer than ten years experience as a journalist.
