Cable One is searching for a highly motivated, results driven Manager of Public Relations. This position will function as the national public representative and spokesperson for Cable One and will be the primary contact for all media inquiries. The Manager of Public Relations will facilitate the development and writing of all press releases, media pitches, talking points, biographies, presentations, and Web content in support of communications objectives. This position will also drive media coverage in all key media including newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, and blogs. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and will interface closely with the sales, marketing and customer service teams across the organization. This position will be located in Cable One’s corporate offices in Phoenix, Arizona.

•Minimum of 5 years communications and/or public relations experience at corporation or agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
•Function as a public representative and primary spokesperson for Cable One
•Create an annual public relations plan, calendar and budget that strategically aligns to brand initiatives.
•Facilitate the development and writing of all press releases, media pitches, talking points, biographies, presentations, and Web content in support of communications objectives.
•Drive proactive coverage around company product launches and customer success stories including placement in newspapers, magazines, broadcast, blogs and other media vehicles.
•Leverage relationships with reporters to garner positive coverage both in print and broadcast media.
•Manage communications on Facebook, Twitter and other social programs for the company.
•Prepare executives for interviews and press interaction.
•Handle crisis management and communications.
•Coordinate executive interview opportunities and speaker platforms.
•Submit company for relevant industry awards and product reviews.
•Attend Company, industry and general business events and serve as media liaison.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with digital and social media teams to align and integrate strategies.
•Develop and implement quality internal and external newsletters.
•Facilitate the implementation of local community relations events and a national cause related campaign.
