MLB.com Recruiter at Cronkite School
Bill Hill, Asst. Managing Editor at MLB.com, will be at the Cronkite School on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 8 to conduct interviews with students who are eligible for and interested in a summer 2012 internship with MLB.com (See the detailed listing under Internships).

The Arizona Scitech Festival showcases Arizona as a national leader in science, technology and innovation through a series of events taking place during the month of February 2012. Phoenix Symphony Orchestra

Preferred Qualifications:

City of Phoenix International Relations Office Spring 2012 Internship
Phoenix Sister Cities, a program within the Office of International Relations, is currently accepting spring 2012 internship applications from college students majoring or interested in working in the following areas: nonprofit agencies, event planning, international business, communications, cultural diversity, economics, youth exchange programs, art, tourism, government, and public relations. Want an exciting summer covering Major League Baseball? MLB.com offers 30 reporting internships to aspiring sportswriters. These internships are designed to give associates the full range of experiences that come with covering a professional team. Each associate will work closely with a site reporter to give visitors to a team’s Web site all the information they need to follow the team from Opening Day to season’s end. Each Major League team will have one associate.

Students who are currently juniors or seniors, as well as graduate students, are eligible for our 2012 Summer Internship Program. If you are graduating in December 2011, you are still eligible. We will make our selections by the end of January.

We expect each intern to spend a minimum of 10 weeks in the program, dates determined by a person’s college schedule. The more flexible an applicant is in terms of which Major League city he or she can work in, the better the person’s chances of being selected. Interns will be paid $500 per week.

Wall Street Journal Video Internship

The Wall Street Journal Online seeks a video intern for summer 2012. During the 10-week internship, the successful candidate will work both independently and alongside Wall Street Journal reporters and editors, reporting, shooting and editing video pieces that complement and supplement print stories. The video intern will work on live-show crews and be expected to adhere to both tight deadlines for features and breaking news stories and longer-term deadlines for enterprise work.

Maturity, news judgment and proficiency in various professional cameras and FinalCut are musts. Eligible applicants should be graduating between Dec. 2011 and Dec. 2012.

The internship will run from June through August. It is New York based and pays $700 per week. No relocation possible.
